PERFORMANCE

I am interested in exploring the human spirit and soul—sometimes in depth and sometimes in utter frivolity. I enjoy using the medium of clown and physical theatre, and sometimes storytelling to help explore these ideas. My work often features politics and the individual’s search for their place in society, or even just their own self. At other times, I create work that is for pure pleasure and entertainment, to bring together community through the medium of laughter or entertainment.

Mimi Goes East

One man’s struggles to come to terms with growing up, trying to get laid, and have a good night out in communist Hungary. A physical theatre based performance filled with ridiculous characters inspired by Soviet era Hungary and real life itself. A child is confiscated from his home and sent to live in an orphanage. His parents are sent to a labour camp for sympathising with unfashionable communists. One man must face the challenges of adolescence alone… A one-woman theatre show about life in Communist Hungary as a musician and artist.
